Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, Sept. 12 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, today announced that Oce Business Services, a unit of Oce, has been named 'Employer of the Year' by Vocational Foundation, Inc. (VFI). Oce Business Services was honored with an award at the foundation's graduation ceremonies in New York after hiring 40 of VFI's graduates across the organization in the past year. "We are very excited about our relationship with Oce Business Services," said John Hickson, Workforce Manager for Vocational Foundation, Inc. "Our relationship with Oce Business Services allows our students to have opportunities to forge meaningful careers. They are matched with motivating, self-esteem-building entry-level jobs that coincide with our training." New York City-based VFI provides vocational and literacy training to young adults (aged 17-21) from the Tri-State area who were unable to complete high school and, therefore, do not possess a high school diploma, GED or another equivalent educational degree. The foundation offers a five-month literacy and job-training program followed by the Moving Up program, an intensive two- year retention effort that provides counseling support as students transition from training to work. Since its inception in 1936, VFI has helped 150,000 young adults achieve financial independence through academic and occupational training that has allowed them to go on to rewarding careers and continuing education. Through strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Oce Business Services, the foundation annually launches hundreds of young adults' careers in growth industries including technology, legal records filing, medical billing, hospitality and tourism. "We are proud to have developed this dynamic relationship with the Vocational Foundation, an organization that is committed to providing education and support to young adults," said Andrea Oriel, vice president of Human Resources for Oce Business Services. "We are impressed with the VFI graduates who have joined the Oce team." She continued, "We're looking forward to mentoring and developing these young adults to help them on their paths toward successful careers in our organization."
