Hudson, NH – August 14, 2006 – Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of high-tech digital imaging solutions for the graphic communications industry, today announced the schedule for its popular Open House events to be conducted during the balance of 2006.
During these Open House events, attendees are invited to drop in anytime during the day. Educational sessions are conducted throughout the day, and a schedule is provided to ensure that visitors are able to plan their time between presentations and live product demonstrations. Attendees also have the opportunity to speak with Presstek experts about their individual printing environments to gain insight into the perfect print solutions and services that will increase productivity and profitability, and accelerate business growth.
“We have conducted over twenty events in North American so far this year where printers can see Presstek DI presses and chemistry-free CTP solutions in action,” said Brian Wolfenden, Director of Marketing Communications for Presstek. “These events provide the printer the opportunity to witness first-hand the high-quality and ease-of-use printing of the DI press. It also provides the time to discuss with our staff the impact that Presstek products can have on their business.”
During the remainder of 2006, Presstek will conduct Open House events in the following cities:
City 2006 Dates
Hartford CT 8/15 to 8/17
Baltimore MD 8/22 to 8/24
Pittsburgh PA 9/12 to 9/14
Kansas City KS 9/26 to 9/28
Newark NJ 10/31 to 11/2
Minneapolis MN 12/5 to 12/7
Presstek products will also be on display at Graph Expo, McCormick Place, Chicago, October 15th through 18th, and at PrintWorld 2006, The National Trade Centre, Ontario, Canada, November 18th through 20th.
“As demand for high quality short-run color becomes an everyday reality,” adds Wolfenden, “print service providers are increasingly turning to Presstek to help them more profitably address this growing market opportunity. Well over 1,000 companies have already attended Presstek events this year, and we are excited about the opportunity to carry our message to more companies via this medium through the balance of the year.”
“There is no doubt that there is a major market need for short-run color, said Matt Doran, President of Anstadt Printing, a fifth generation family owned printer in York PA. “Not only do we continually read about run lengths declining in a big picture sense, but we are also experiencing this with our customers, large and small. They no longer only want to print long runs and store them on the shelf. As we sought a complementary solution to our conventional offset presses to meet this demand, we attended a Presstek Open House and found it to be very helpful in our decision process.” Anstadt installed a Presstek 5634 DI press in May of 2006. “As a result,” adds Doran, “not only are we able to generate new and profitable revenue streams with shorter run printing, but we have been able to make our five-color press much more efficient by dedicating it to longer runs.”
