Sewickley, Pa., August 8, 2006 -- The Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF is pleased to present detailed information on the 2006 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Awards recipients.
This year’s search for excellence in innovation, once again, brought to the industry a unique cross-section of technologies—from productivity-enhancing products and machinery to sophisticated software.
The 2006 panel of independent judges were impressed with the quality of the entries, and they felt that each technology would be of benefit to the industry. Thirty-five nominations were submitted, and eleven innovative technologies were selected to receive the prestigious award.
The coveted Lucite InterTech stars, recognized as a symbol of technological innovation and excellence, will be presented to the 2006 award recipients at an annual luncheon, which hosts an impressive audience of industry leaders, at the 2006 PIA/GATF Fall Administrative Meetings, November 9–12 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
A technology review booklet showcasing all thirty-five of the current year’s nominated technologies will be produced by Graphic Arts Monthly for GRAPH EXPO & CONVERTING EXPO 2006, which is being held October 15–18, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
