Rosupak 2006 - The international exhibition of machinery and equipment, materials and technologies for manufacturing of packages was held June 19 - 23 2006 at the Krokus Expo in Moscow, Russia. Our long time distributors VIP Systems represented Brandtjen & Kluge, Inc. at the show, where they demonstrated a Kluge UniFold Automatic Folder/Gluer at booth # 32.7 Hall 4. It had been three years since VIP last exhibited at Rosupak. This year VIP folded and glued CD wallets, a popular product for converters in the region. The most common folding and gluing applications in Russia are generally CD/DVD wallets and small format boxes. Nadezhda Batlouk of VIP Systems stated, "By demonstrating a product relevant to professionals in our region we were able to impress decision makers and sell the machine directly from the show floor. The UniFold configured for converting CD wallets helped draw additional interest to the booth and other Kluge products like the Small Box Automatic Folder/Gluer. Multimedia demonstrations with video and CD ROM's enabled booth visitors a chance to see the Small Box Automatic Folder/Gluer in action although the machine was not actually present at the show." In general, booth traffic for VIP Systems was highest during the middle three days of the five-day show, which followed the usual pattern of show attendance. "Tradeshow first and last days are usually slower than during the middle of the show, but overall it was good and we managed to move equipment which is what it's all about."
