PODi Seeking Digital Print Case Studies for Prestigious Report and Awards Program
Press release from the issuing company
Rochester, NY - July 20, 2006 - PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, today announced the call for entries for the 7th edition of the PODi Best Practices in Digital Print report and the annual Best Practices Awards. The report reviews successful digital printing applications and their proven business results. The annual awards, which are judged by a panel of industry experts, recognize the most outstanding programs and the printers, creative agencies and enterprises that developed them.
"Each year the Best Practices report highlights some of the industry's most exceptional applications," said Rab Govil, president of PODi. "Companies featured in the report are seen as leaders who know how to optimize communication solutions with digital print."
Inclusion in the report signals that a case study exemplifies one or more of PODi's best practice principles. Organizations can leverage this exposure for sales and marketing efforts, as participants gain credibility as outstanding solution providers. Success stories are often highlighted at conferences, in trade publications, and in the online database, where potential customers and partners see them.
Projects included in the Best Practices report are also automatically considered for the PODi Best Practices Awards, which will be presented at PODi's 2007 Application Forum, Feb. 12 - 14 in Anaheim, CA. This year's award winners were Inter-State Studio; MFS Investment Management and Bowne Marketing & Business Communications; UMassFive College Federal Credit Union and Cathedral Corporation; and Out-of-Door Academy and One to One Gulfcoast.
New this year is the opportunity for companies to participate in a Best Practices showcase at the Application Forum. Any company that has a case study accepted for inclusion in the Best Practices in Digital Print report will have the opportunity to put up a small display of their application.
PODi is currently accepting submissions of digital print applications for the 7th edition of the Best Practices in Digital Print report, to be published in the spring of 2007. All types of digital print applications are sought, covering a wide range of vertical markets. Submitters need not be PODi members to enter case studies. The entry deadline for submissions is September 15, 2006. Visit the PODi Web site (www.podi.org/casestudy/bpsubmission/index.php) for instructions on submitting projects.
