PIA/GATF Announces the 2006 InterTech Technology Award Recipients

Press release from the issuing company

Sewickley, Pa., July 18, 2006 -- The Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2006 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Awards. For over a quarter of a century, the recipients of this prestigious award have not only proven to have a major impact on the graphic communications industry, but they have also consistently been commercially successful in the marketplace. Touchless workflow, package printing, and Web-to-print technologies were common themes of this year’s entrants. And as evidenced by their comments, the judges felt that this is what the industry needs…“This is what people have wanted for years—workflow, automation, and incorporating the Web into the process.” This 2006 panel of independent judges were impressed with the quality of the entries, and felt that each technology would be of benefit to the industry. Thirty-five nominations were submitted, and eleven innovative technologies were selected to receive the prestigious award.
