IPA Proofing and Workflow RoundUP Results Webinar Dates Announced

Edina, MN—June 13, 2006 -- IPA will announce the results of its recently completed 2006 IPA Proofing and Workflow RoundUPs, conducted last week during the IPA Technical Conference, in a 2-part webinar curriculum, June 21 and 28. The webinar series will offer an overview of the findings of these landmark testing events. Comprehensive reports on each RoundUP will be published later this month. The results from the 4th Annual Proofing RoundUP will be presented on June 28 by Proofing RoundUP Chair, Abhay Sharma, Chair, School of Graphic Communications, Reyerson University. All major commercially available proofing systems were evaluated in a series of practical real-world tests to assess press-to-proof matching capabilities. The Proofing RoundUP results will provide a comprehensive analysis of the options and capabilities of 33 hard and soft proofing solutions. The 2nd annual IPA Workflow RoundUP included a comprehensive evaluation of leading graphic workflow systems. Presented on June 21 by Workflow RoundUP Chair, Linda Manes Goodwin, IO Integration, the webinar will compare how these systems fared in their ability to correctly generate PDF/X files, carry XMP metadata and/or interpret JDF intent, using industry standards and best practices. Cost for the webinars is $110 for members, $155 for non-members per session. The curriculum cost is $189 for members, $269 for non-members.
