Orlando, Florida– June 12, 2006 -- The Printing Association of Florida (PAF) today announced the highlights of their annual Print Management Conference, July 28-29, 2006 at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Orlando, Florida. For the first time, the event will offer attendees five educational seminars to choose from, day and evening networking events and the return of the Graphics of the Future Exposition. In addition, the event will also host the 19th annual Florida Print Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement in the graphic arts and printing industry on a statewide level.
Beginning Friday, July 28, the conference kicks off with one of three networking events. The PAF’s golf classic, sponsored by xpedx, begins at 8:00 am at ChampionsGate’s National golf course, designed by international champion Greg Norman. Golf registration fee includes a continental breakfast, driving range balls, carts, greens fees and an awards luncheon that immediately follows the game.
At 11:00 am, Graphics of the Future exposition and seminars series begins with an economic forecast by Dr. Ronnie Davis, PhD and PIA/GATF’s chief economist. Dr. Davis’ presentation is designed to help printers and suppliers to assess their competitive situation and to develop their own strategic plans for 2007 and beyond. Immediately following, Ray Prince and George Ryan, director of consulting services and COO of the PIA/GATF, will discuss technologies that will have an impact in the coming year. The session will also provide an overview of technologies on the horizon, from print processes to market trends, digital printing to packaging. At 4:00 pm, Frank Mills of Exactbind Corporation will present how the digital on-demand bookmaking can expand a printer’s revenue base using new binding technologies and digital printing.
Rounding out the day, attendees are urged to attend “Hotter than Potter,” industry appreciation party sponsored by Mac Papers, featuring Darren Rockwell, a 24 year old illusionist who has been named “One of today’s hottest young magicians.” Attendees and their families are urged to attend this four-hour combination of dinner, special children’s event, strolling, close-up magic show and illusion performance.
On Saturday, July 29, the exhibit doors open up at 9:00 am for the Graphics of the Future exhibition and the first seminar of the day. Marketing and Sales, Tips and Tricks from the Experts will provide attendees a chance to join a panel of industry experts, including print buyers, sales and marketing executives to discuss how marketing can bring visibility to your company and sales to the bottom line. Following shortly afterwards, at 1:00 pm, the PIA/GATF’s Marketing for Digital seminar will offer in-depth and practical information on what important industry segments are looking for from printers. Hosted by Peter Muir, president of Bizucate, Inc., Marketing for Digital will provide attendees with several industry reports.
