MAN Roland revs-up its PowerPrinters in the West with a Grand Prix racing event
Press release from the issuing company
Huntington Beach, California — MAN Roland turned some of its most skilled customers into Formula One racers for a day, sponsoring an outing at a local Grand Prix facility that combined on-track competition with some high-powered discussions on printing advancements.
PowerPrinters is a growing assembly of press operators and pressroom supervisors who have completed MAN Roland’s PowerPrinters Certification Course or have otherwise exhibited superior on-press expertise. Their mission is to ensure that their pressroom skills keep pace with ongoing equipment enhancements and breakthroughs.
The Western Grand Prix event updated many of the region’s PowerPrinters on advanced technology MAN Roland introduced at recent trade shows. In a special forum, the PowerPrinters were able to swap ideas and tips for making the most of their MAN Roland presses. They also provided their input and recommendations on future developments that MAN Roland is bringing to market.
“We made this event one part information and two parts fun because PowerPrinters is more about people than it is about technology,” said Rick Parks, General Manager for MAN Roland Inc. in the West. “So making sure everyone had a good time was the first priority. That makes the information and observations flow more freely.”
The Western Grand Prix was the first of a series of outings that will be held regionally for PowerPrinters throughout the U.S. and Canada. The remaining events will be announced later this year.
