CHICAGO, IL – May 24, 2006 – The Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association (PII) honored two Chicago-land printers and one Indiana printer with top awards last night at its Fourth Annual Achievements in Print Excellence Awards Gala. Best of State – Illinois winners are: • Lake County Press, Inc. of Waukegan, IL • Tukaiz, LLC of Franklin Park, IL This is the first time two best of state winners have been named for one state. Our judges noted that this is not a tie; rather, their decision recognizes the evolution of the print industry. One won for their outstanding use of color and printing techniques, the other won for their use of digital variable data printing technology as a retention tool. Best of State – Indiana winner is • Quality Printing Company of Anderson, IN The evening culminated with the announcement of the Best of Show; that winner is: • Lake County Press, Inc. of Waukengan, IL During the evening, 55 Best of Category winners were awarded “The Pinnacle” in recognition of their towering achievements in print excellence.
