Kodak Guides Customers to the Power to Grow at AIIM ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition

PHILADELPHIA, May 16 -- Digital printing and document management professionals discover the latest applications and techniques that deliver "The Power to Grow"-using technologies and expertise from Kodak-at the 2006 AIIM ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition. Launches from Kodak at AIIM ON DEMAND include innovative document scanners for the office: the KODAK i1200 and i1300 Series Scanners for distributed scanning. The four new models-KODAK i1210 and i1220 scanners for the workgroup market and KODAK i1310 and KODAK i1320 scanners for the departmental segment-pack features such as high image quality, speed and outstanding ease-of-use into a desktop document scanner design that has the smallest operational footprint in their respective classes. To assist graphic communications providers in taking their businesses to the next level, the newly named KODAK MARKETMOVER business development services will launch at AIIM ON DEMAND. MARKETMOVER services deliver an expanded range of innovative tools, resources, and support to enable customers to maximize their return on investment in new technologies and achieve dynamic business growth. As part of this announcement, Kodak is introducing the KODAK MARKETMOVER Premier Packages, which have been developed to support owners of the KODAK NEXPRESS digital color production presses, KODAK DIGIMASTER black and white print systems, and the KODAK DIRECTPRESS DI digital offset systems. For team members involved in the development of creative content for print jobs, the launch of KODAK TeamWorks 2.0 software enables a more efficient and collaborative way to manage projects from any Web-connected computer. TeamWorks 2.0 software reduces cycle times and improves stakeholder communication by streamlining content creation through online project management. Digital Printing: Enhancing Profitability Visitors at AIIM ON DEMAND will learn how a KODAK Unified Workflow solution establishes a platform for increasing revenue opportunities, expanding service offerings and enhancing operational efficiencies. KODAK Unified Workflow solutions provide an end-to-end digital infrastructure for printing that integrates business, production, and color workflows, using innovative software tools, open standards and intelligent automation. The first implementation of KODAK Unified Workflow solutions is aimed at the commercial print segment. It also creates a foundation for sales growth by providing the tools customers need to differentiate their businesses and deliver greater value to clients through new services. At AIIM ON DEMAND, KODAK Unified Workflow components on display include KODAK PRINERGY workflow system; KODAK InSite software, a Web portal into prepress production; KODAK EyeMedia software for integrated asset management; KODAK NEXTREME Web-to-Print Exchange solution; KODAK SMARTBOARD document mastering software; KODAK PressProof software that extends the benefits of monitor proofing to the pressroom; and KODAK TeamWorks 2.0 software. For further enhancing production efficiency and color accuracy, inkjet proofing solutions will be featured at AIIM ON DEMAND. The next generation of the KODAK VERIS digital proofer helps customers achieve outstanding color accuracy and proofing productivity. Using KODAK MULTI-DROP ARRAY inkjet imaging technology, the VERIS digital proofer serves as a premium inkjet solution for prepress professionals who need the utmost in color precision and proof accuracy. KODAK MATCHPRINT inkjet proofing solutions will also be displayed. "In addition to talking with customers about how the right workflow systems, software and tools can support effective production, we're focusing on providing attendees with information and ideas to utilize our solutions to create new revenue opportunities," said Joyce. The power of combining two of Kodak's digital printing technologies to help print providers create new revenue opportunities-for themselves and their customers-will be demonstrated in Kodak's booth at AIIM ON DEMAND. Kodak and Prinova will demonstrate the range and flexibility of variable data printing through a custom application, "Reach out with Kodak-Growing Customer Value with Integrated Customer Communications." By combining the power of variable data and customized images with integrated document design and application development, marketers create more effective communication materials for a fictitious financial services company. A KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press will produce personalized welcome kits for new customers. A KODAK VERSAMARK VT3000 printing system with advanced inkjet technology will print several different financial statements based on specific customer demographics. A KODAK DIGIMASTER E125 digital production system will produce key black and white print-on-demand applications such as booklets and tabbed reports with pre-printed color shells to demonstrate the productivity, quality and power of the system. The KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press offers a high level of modularity and flexibility. Customers can upgrade the press as they grow their businesses with options to select desired paper capacity, increase processing capability, and add delivery of spot color, watermarking and protective coating with the KODAK NEXPRESS fifth imaging unit solution. KODAK NEXGLOSSER glossing unit enables additional printing opportunities for image-rich applications, including book covers, digital photo prints, coffee table books, greeting cards and brochures. It features KODAK NEXPRESS clear dry ink that delivers enhanced image quality and a laminate-like gloss for higher marketing impact. The DIGIMASTER E125 system is ideal for customers who want the ability to do short-run, custom and variable data print jobs with a high-end digital black-and-white system at a lower initial investment. Document Imaging: Expanding Productivity The most productive portfolio of document scanning solutions for businesses, organizations, government agencies and the graphic arts industry will be spotlighted in Kodak's booth, including: - KODAK Scan Station 100, a multi-purpose walkup device for the office that enables people to easily and quickly turn paper documents into digital files-and simultaneously store them on the network and share with colleagues across the hall, across the country and around the world-through one-touch operation and without a computer. - The KODAK i6060 and i6090 Check Scanners and KODAK t6000 Server Software for Image Archive Applications join the KODAK i6030 Check Scanner, image capture and transmission software and a host of support and service options for high-speed check scanning and secure archiving to help banks, businesses and government agencies take advantage of the Check 21 Act. - KODAK i30/i40 Series Scanners, small desktop workgroup scanners that fit any workspace. i30 and i40 Series Scanners provide easy setup and integration, up to 25 pages/or 50 images per minute scanning speed, and renowned image quality with Perfect Page image processing technology. - KODAK i55/i65 Series Scanners, workgroup scanners for a wide variety of document capture, publishing and archiving needs.
