Press release from the issuing company

October 22, 2007 - FOSTER CITY, Calif. - EFI, the world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced the new general manager of its Fiery Division, technology industry veteran Judy Lin. A senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in leading high-achieving teams in driven and innovative environments like EFI's, Lin most recently was the executive vice president and general manager of the Security division of VeriSign, a Silicon Valley company that provides Internet infrastructure services.
"Judy's highly results-oriented, no-compromise professional drive is well-suited to our business, our culture and our vision for EFI's future," said Guy Gecht, EFI CEO. "She has a keen and dual strategic focus on product high quality and time to market. Judy's acumen complements EFI's mission to continually deliver Fiery innovation that makes our customers more competitive, efficient and profitable. She is a terrific addition to our executive team."
As General Manager of the Fiery Division, Lin is responsible for financial performance, bringing new products to market, driving operational excellence, cultivating key partnerships and building brand equity for EFI's flagship product line. She will report directly to Gecht.
"It's an exciting time to join EFI - the company is leading the digital revolution in the print industry, and it's made up of people who are passionate about technology innovation and excellence that drives their customers' success," said Lin. "EFI is entirely focused on delivering a powerful impact on their customers' growth and profitability, and I look forward to bringing my experience and perspective to bear, pushing the already industry-leading Fiery, VDP, workflow, and color management to deliver even more optimization for our customers."
Among the original members of VeriSign's engineering team, Lin tenure there culminated in her role as an integral senior executive of the $1.6B company. As general manager of VeriSign's Security Services business unit, she oversaw a $370M division of 1100 employees globally across engineering, sales, marketing and operations. During her four-year tenure as General Manager, she nearly doubled revenue, more than tripled operating income, and built one of the most recognized Internet security brands. Prior to VeriSign, Lin held a variety of management positions at HP, Apple Computer & Taligent, Inc. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, with a double major in European history and computer science.
Lin's appointment follows Fiery Division General Manager Mehran Farimani's departure to pursue other interests. Farimani was a significant driving force in advancing the Fiery business, and his leadership was instrumental in creating a highly productive, world class team. In fact, at the end of his tenure, EFI shipped the milestone 1.5 millionth Fiery. "We wish Mehran all the best and thank him for his outstanding contribution to the success of the Fiery business over his 12 years with EFI," said Gecht.
