Press release from the issuing company
AIIM On Demand Exposition, Philadelphia, PA, USA (May 16, 2005) - The Creo Print On-Demand Solutions (PODS) Group, an independent unit of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, announced today the availability of the new Spire CXP50 color server and workflow solution for Xerox Corporation's DocuColor 5000 Digital Color Press. This high-performance solution is available in two configurations to maximize color quality, optimize workflow, and expand the feature set for printing environments requiring a mid-production class of product.
The Spire CXP50 color server configuration is designed for mid- production printing. The system is equipped with CREO PODS Fusion board technology and 160 GB for RIPing. The Spire CXP50 color server drives outstanding color and output quality from the XEROX DocuColor 5000 Digital Press. It supports variable data printing in all leading file formats, imposition, and mixed-media workflow.
The Spire CXP50 color server with Pro Kit is designed for graphic arts printers who require professional color management and need greater productivity. The Pro Kit provides soft-proofing and calibrating capabilities, PDF editing, automation and better connectivity to the commercial print environment via JDF, more production workflow tools, and enhanced variable data printing functionality.
The Spire CXP50 color server from Creo PODS joins the family of Spire color servers that drive a range of XEROX digital printers and presses, from 35 page-per-minute multifunction printers/copiers to the 110 page-per-minute XEROX IGEN3 Digital Production Press.
