Content Management by Harvard University Press Using FileMaker Pro is Featured Session at 2006 BookExpo America

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and WASHINGTON, BookExpo America, May 15 -- The role of FileMaker Pro database technology in content management for multiple publications at Harvard University Press will be featured in a session presentation at the 2006 Book Expo America, May 17-19, at the Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C. (www.bookexpoamerica.com). The presentation session, "Content Management for Multiple Publications: How Harvard University Press Expedited Collaborative Publishing Processes" will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, May 18, in Room 202A, presented by Rosemary Tietge, Systems Engineer, FileMaker. The presentation will cover how Harvard University Press developed a content management system that expedites XML export by using the FileMaker Pro database, graphic design, and Web design tools. Producing up to 250 new publications each year, the 80-member staff tracks essential research, content, production, and marketing processes. The presentation will describe how the database solution allows a workgroup to share and edit data, and build print, web catalog pages and indexes.
