CHICAGO, April 28 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company today announced that its Roanoke, Virginia and Senatobia, Mississippi production facilities have been recertified with Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Status by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). RR Donnelley plants in Lynchburg, Virginia and Reno, Nevada are also certified as VPP Star facilities. Star certifications, the highest OSHA grants, promote effective worksite safety and health by establishing cooperative relationships between OSHA and facilities that have implemented comprehensive safety and health management systems. These RR Donnelley facilities continue to maintain injury and illness rates that are well below the national average for the printing industry. "Achieving VPP Star recertification status requires a committed management team, an engaged workforce and continuous improvement.
