Users Gain More Productivity with New Oce VarioPrint 2090 Release 3.3

Press release from the issuing company

Trumbull, CT – April 24, 2006 — Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announces Release 3.3 for the Océ VarioPrint? 2090 digital print system, which introduces enhanced capabilities designed to boost productivity, such as a significant increase in uninterrupted print run time. The Océ VarioPrint 2090 printer/copier/scanner is an extremely versatile member of the Océ VarioPrint 2000 family of production-class multifunctional printers. The 85-ppm system is unparalleled as a productive, on-demand solution for office printing and copying, retail print shops, centralized printing and copying operations, and distributed document work centers. Release 3.3 gives the system additional capabilities that help users work with greater efficiency and productivity. Available now, Release 3.3 introduces optional dual tray paper support, which boosts letter-size paper capacity to 10,200 sheets without increasing machine footprint. Users gain longer periods of uninterrupted print time without stopping to reload paper. As a result, they are able to finish jobs faster and free up staff for tasks other than printer “tending” and paper loading. To further boost productivity, with Release 3.3, a status “signal lamp” will now be included as standard. This provides operators with visual, color-coded status from a distance, enabling instant machine status feedback without requiring operators to stop what they are doing to check the printer. Signal lamps also ship as standard equipment on all Océ VarioPrint 21x0 systems. “Océ is constantly looking for new ways to help our customers boost productivity, even down to the details of print operation like paper loading and status checks. With Release 3.3, we have further increased the value of the versatile Océ VarioPrint 2090 by making printing easier and less time-consuming for a wide variety of users,” said Eric de Goeijen, Vice President of Marketing, Océ Imagistics, Inc. Software highlights and improvements in Release 3.3 include scan-to-email capability using an address list for greater convenience. To avoid confusing, time-consuming job sorting, the printer will now keep sets together when a bin is full. Other improvements include automatic scheduled deletions at set times to ensure greater document security and for better overall job maintenance.
