Countdown to Connect 2006: EFI User Conference Rolls into Vegas April 30th

Press release from the issuing company

Foster City, Calif. – April 19, 2006 – A record number of printing industry leaders from around the world will soon be descending on Las Vegas for EFI Connect 2006. From April 30th to May 3rd, the exclusive Venetian Resort will be headquarters for the printing industry’s largest annual user conference. Over the four days, participants will have the opportunity to attend more than 200 educational sessions, test drive the latest EFI products, including a VUTEk press, discuss industry trends, and network with peers. In keeping with this year's conference theme, "Expand Your Opportunities," Connect 2006 will offer new sessions focused on growing business with super-wide format digital inkjet printing, on-demand digital printing and variable data printing. Attendees will hear keynotes from EFI executives, Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen, and a panel of industry solution providers and customers. The conference also features exhibits of the latest printing technologies by 19 of the industry’s leading companies, including Xerox Corporation, Adobe Systems and Canon U.S.A. As the Diamond Sponsor, Xerox will have the largest exhibit area showcase and will host a customer-focused panel luncheon titled “The Art, Science and Mastery of Digital Color.” The panel features Xerox’s Senior Fellow Dr. Peter Crean and other renowned Xerox and Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. color consultants discussing the best ways to achieve consistent digital color. Xerox is also hosting two additional sessions for graphic communications professionals and in-plant service providers—one titled “Communicating at the Forefront of JMF,” and the other titled “Get to the Right Place! Improve Your Profitability in The New Business of Printing.” Visitors to the Xerox exhibit can receive one-on-one color consulting with Crean by stopping at the “Color Connection” kiosk. “We’re excited to kick-off Connect and look forward to spending time with our customers,” said Marc Olin, senior vice president/general manager, EFI Professional Printing Applications. “Connect is a great opportunity for customers to increase their expertise in a friendly, interactive environment, while helping us better understand their needs for future development. We believe it is well worth the time spent away from operating a business to get exposure to the newest technology and trends in the industry.” For more information and to register, visit www.efi.com/connect06
