Press release from the issuing company
Minneapolis, Minnesota, April 18, 2006 — Four51, a rapidly growing commerce-on-demand network (COD) , today announced the appointment of Mark D. Johnson to Chief Executive Officer. As a seasoned global web, network and software executive Johnson joins co-founders Rich Landa and Gary Nemcek to drive the company’s expansion and market adoption as the world’s foremost commerce-on-demand company.
“As we look at the business, Gary and I believe the Four51 business model is at an explosive tipping point and we are confident our momentum positions us for very rapid growth in the coming quarters,” said Landa. “Mark’s experience in delivering and executing in hyper-growth companies is exactly what we were looking for to help drive the company to the next level,” added Nemcek.
Prior to joining Four51, Mark was a founder and CEO of MTI Group, Inc., a successful computer network services firm, which he built from scratch to a $100 million business that was acquired by Comdisco, Inc.
With Johnson’s appointment, Four51 announced that Landa will become President of the Four51 Solutions organization with responsibility for driving higher transaction levels through solutions-based initiatives. Nemcek will become President of Four51 Networks Group with continued responsibility for leveraging the value of Four51’s network both internally among its members and externally for its members.
“Thanks to the vision, leadership and execution of Rich and Gary, Four51 is growing rapidly. That’s because we’ve demonstrated an ability to help our customers grow their businesses by driving demand, on-demand across the Four51 Commerce-on-Demand network,” Johnson said. “The 21st century go-to-market mandate for every one of our customers means they are looking to drive demand rapidly and cost efficiently. Our services, solutions, and people are focused on helping companies grow their businesses and are the reason we add some 30 new companies to the Four51 network daily.”
