New HP Swatchbooks Highlight 6-Color Options and Expanded Media Range for HP Indigo Presses
Press release from the issuing company
BIRMINGHAM, England, April 6, 2006 – HP today announced additional offerings to enhance the user experience and maximize the value of HP Indigo presses in an expanding range of industrial and commercial production environments. Now available are two new swatchbooks for HP Indigo press users that showcase HP's extensive color capabilities and media options.
“Leveraging our imaging and printing leadership, we are focused on helping customers achieve consistent, high-quality images and accurate color reproduction on our digital presses,” said Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager, Indigo division, HP. “These new swatchbooks equip our customers with the tools to consistently create long-lasting, visually appealing materials on our digital presses.”
‘Divided' swatchbook highlights color capabilities
The new CMYK / CMYKOV swatchbook for HP Indigo presses is divided into four and six colors PANTONE-licensed simulations to help customers select the best color process for the print job. Featured in the book is the HP IndiChrome on-press six-color process (CMYKOV) compared to standard four-color process (CMYK). With this tool, print buyers have the option to visually evaluate the tradeoff between economical solution (CMYK) and the more accurate simulation and broader color gamut of CMYKOV.
With PANTONE Colors represented for the first time, in a four vs. six colors simulation, the new “divided” swatchbook enables more accurate prepress decisions when specifying a job, as well as provides valuable information for print service providers' customers on the unmatched capabilities of HP ElectroInk in offset color quality and consistency.
The new “divided” swatchbook will become available to HP Indigo customers during the second half of 2006.
