Creo Print On-Demand Solutions Group Presents its Latest Workflow Solutions and On-Demand

IPEX 2006, Birmingham, UK (April 4, 2006) – Creo Print On-Demand Solutions Group (PODS), an independent unit of Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, is cooperating with industry-leading partners to present a range of CREO PODS colour servers driving digital printers, as well as its professional On-Demand Applications at IPEX 2006. This global technology event for print, publishing and media is the biggest printing and graphics arts exhibition in the English-speaking world, underway April 4 -11, 2006 at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.
CREO PODS products are featured at the following partners’ stands:
•Adobe Systems is hosting the Creo PODS Group for a series of presentations on leading On-Demand Applications. New versions of the DARWIN VI authoring tool, Creo PODS’s industry-leading variable data printing (VDP) application, are also being demonstrated. Stand # 20-E60
•Danwood Group demonstrates the IC-301 print controller, powered by CREO PODS, driving the KONICA MINOLTA BIZHUB PRO C500 colour production printing system, the new HP INDIGO Production Stream Server which drives HP INDIGO digital presses, and CREO PODS On-Demand Applications. Stand # 06-B60
•Hewlett-Packard launches the new HP INDIGO Production Stream Server powered by CREO PODS. The Production Stream Servers demonstrate the transfer of offset print jobs using KODAK PRINERGY workflow systems to an HP INDIGO digital press. •Konica Minolta demonstrates the IC-301 print controller, powered by CREO PODS, which drives the BIZHUB PRO C500 colour production printing system, and announces the IC-304 print controller for the BIZHUB PRO C6500 printing system. Stand # 04-B41
•Press-sense demonstrates CREO PODS’s professional On-Demand Applications, the new WCS and the DARWIN VI authoring tool. Stand # 20-B95
•Xerox Corporation features CREO PODS Spire colour servers driving several XEROX DocuColor digital colour presses. The Creo PODS Group and Xerox have partnered for more than 10 years helping printers differentiate their businesses with digital printing solutions. Creo PODS and Xerox are producing an original personalised calendar for visitors to the Xerox Hall 3A at IPEX. The calendar is produced live on the stand through online production and printing featuring CREO PODS variable data printing (VDP) solutions. Stand #03A-C70

JDF at Work
Increased efficiencies through automation, integration and cross-vendor interoperability are the goals of the CIP4 organization. By adopting the JDF interface, each of the CIP4 Partner solutions can communicate with one another, thereby creating a family of plug-and-play solutions that provide a seamless flow of job and production data across the entire production process. At IPEX 2006, Creo PODS is partnering with its workflow partners to showcase JDF at work at the JDF Pavilion, Hall 20, POD#E.
