Mahwah, NJ – October 15, 2007 – Ramsey Press, Inc., the woman-owned, high-quality boutique commercial printer in Northern New Jersey, is pleased to announce that it has recently obtained G7 Master Printer Status from the IDEAlliance Organization.
The IDEAlliance G7 Masters qualification program identifies those printing companies, prepress service providers and agencies that have been trained to use the G7 Proof-to-Print Process and can produce proofs or can print to G7. The G7 Master Qualification mark means that the company uses the most modern technology, techniques, proofing and press controls, and standards required to produce a close visual match from proof to print.
In late August, Ramsey Press, Inc. had contracted with industry expert and G7 Master Certifier, Don Hutcheson of HutchColor to audit, coach and calibrate Ramsey Press's proofing machines to its presses and receive its G7 training.  According to Don Hutcheson, "The G7 training I delivered recently at Ramsey Press was one of the easiest and smoothest classes I have ever experienced. The fact that the raw press curves needed only a very slight tweaking to reach the G7 NPDC target curves endorsed, yet again, the carful research behind the G7 process."
As to the reason for the quick and easy qualification, Hutcheson continued, "Factors that helped make the training so successful included the skill and enthusiasm of the press operators, along with the total commitment to excellence evident in all levels of Ramsey Press, Inc. from management and sales to prepress and proofing, right on into the pressroom."
