XMPie First To Offer Personalized Graphics Using Adobe Illustrator
Press release from the issuing company
BIRMINGHAM, England, April 4, 2006 -- IPEX 2006 -- XMPie, www.xmpie.com, the award-winning provider of dynamic publishing software, announced today an innovative expansion of uImage2.0, its variable imaging tool. uImage will now allow creative professionals to produce personalized graphics with Adobe Illustrator. Building upon its existing support of Adobe Creative Suite 2, uImage will now enhance the design capabilities for variable data publishing to include personalized vector artwork.
uImage can be seen in the XMPie booth #20-A20 in Hall 20 at IPEX 2006.
uImage 2.0 makes it possible to create a template in Adobe Illustrator and automatically merge the illustrations with variable data, resulting in a unique graphic for each recipient. Creative professionals can use uImage together with the core set of VDP solutions from XMPie to develop powerful, eye-catching dynamic documents that include personalized raster images from Photoshop and personalized vector graphics from Illustrator. uImage ties together the design creativity of Adobe CS2 with the powerful logic and advanced personalization capabilities of XMPie’s VDP software solutions.
“By extending the capability of automatic personalization to vector graphics, XMPie has effectively brought VDP to the three most popular tools for creative professionals: InDesign for page layout, Photoshop for images, and Illustrator for line art,” said Eyal S. Goldwerger, CEO of XMPie. “This will allow designers to maximize the application of VDP in the creative realm, resulting in impactful, visually stunning personalized communications.”
“Once again, XMPie demonstrates its deep understanding of the needs of the professional design community,” said Mark Wilson, managing director of Willsons, a UK-based printer. “uImage 2.0 is yet another step forward in empowering the designer to take variability and personalization to a greater level.”
uImage is compatible with uDirect Professional and the entire PersonalEffect product line. Illustrator support will be included as part of all uImage shipments and will be available in summer 2006. Current uImage users under maintenance will receive Illustrator capabilities as a free upgrade.
