DATAMATX Completes SAS 70 Type II Report

Press release from the issuing company

Atlanta, Georgia, March 22, 2006 – DATAMATX, one of the nation’s largest privately held, full-service providers of printed and electronic billing solutions, today announced it received its Statement on Auditing Standard (SAS 70) Type II Report after an extensive external audit of the procedures and controls for the processing of DATAMATX’s client transactions. DATAMATX processes and distributes over 400,000 business-critical documents daily for more than 250 national corporate customers in the financial services; utility, telecommunications, healthcare, collection, government and B-to-B industries. Obtaining the SAS 70 certification reinforces DATAMATX’s commitment to existing and new clients that all outsourced documents are handled in a secure, reliable and stable environment with tight process controls in place. In addition, the SAS 70 Report meets the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, an important factor for DATAMATX clients that need this type of accountability for billing and operations activities. The audit performed over an extended period of time was completed by The Jeffries Group, a CPA firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. “Receiving the SAS 70 Type II Report reflects DATAMATX’s commitment to safeguarding the quality, accuracy and privacy of our clients’ data,” said Harry Stephens, President and CEO of DATAMATX. “It ensures our clients that the systems we use to process client transactions meet the highest standards. We can now offer customers an additional level of assurance that we will continuously implement best practices when processing their business-critical documents—giving them peace of mind that their sensitive customer data is safe and secure with DATAMATX.” The extensive auditing process DATAMATX underwent was in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70, Reports on the Processing of Transactions by Service Organizations). The SAS 70 is used by service organizations as a guarantee to clients that stable and reliable controls and safeguards are used when hosting or processing clients’ data. Clients who outsource part of their business require the assurance and reliable proof that the service providers engaged to handle their data have all the accurate and dependable measures in place to provide a stable and secure environment that can safely exchange customer data. Understanding these concerns, DATAMATX underwent this extensive exercise and passed thorough independent testing to provide its clients with the guarantee that their outsourced business is in capable and reliable hands.
