Atlanta, GA, March 12, 2006 -- Corporate Binding Solutions, exclusive distributor for Morgana Systems in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee, announces the regional debut of the Morgana Digifold, the world’s first combination creasing and folding machine. The Digifold will be shown for the first time at the Sunbelt Graphics show March 16-18 in Atlanta. The system, a totally new technology for finishing even the most sensitive of materials, is aimed at the “print-on-demand” market and handles output from both digital color printing systems and the heavy cross-grained stocks printed via conventional offset processes. Fully automated, compact, and easy to use, the suction-fed DigiFold is the only automated folder providing the ability to automatically crease material prior to folding. Unlike scoring, which breaks the surface of the material being creased, the DigiFold prevents cracking during the folding process. Based on Morgana’s highly respected AutoCreaser technology, the creasing element of the Digifold system is not new. In combination with the entirely new folding process, however, this machine uses a number of highly innovative approaches to ensure that finished documents are creased and then folded without the cracking often seen with other systems. At the Sunbelt Show, Corporate Binding Solutions will also debut the Morgana AutoCreaser 50. This latest generation of the AutoCreaser system accommodates wider formats, taking sheets up to 26” x 21” and stock weights in excess of 300gsm/2. Up to 9 separate creases may be performed on a single sheet with a minimum repeat distance of .15 inch and speeds up to 6500 sheets per hour. Setup of the AutoCreaser 50 is even simpler than the earlier generation AutoCreaser 33, in that it utilizes a “head up” display. Settings are made via a control stick and include the ability to both position the creases and manipulate the suction feeder. The ability to count and batch documents for creasing and folding is a standard feature and operators can vary the dwell time between each batch from 1 to 15 seconds.
