Potlatch Board Elects New VP and General Counsel

SPOKANE, Wash.--Feb. 28, 2006-- Potlatch Corporation's Board of Directors has elected Pamela A. Mull, 51, who has been Potlatch's Associate General Counsel since 1990, as Vice President and General Counsel for the company. She replaces Ralph M. Davisson, who has reached mandatory retirement age of 65 following a distinguished 26-year career with the company. Michael S. Gadd, 41, will replace Mull as Associate General Counsel. "For more than two decades, Ralph Davisson has provided excellent legal advice and support for Potlatch Corporation's many and varied businesses," noted Chairman L. Pendleton Siegel. "His advice and counsel will be sorely missed along with his affability and general good humor. We wish him a long, happy and prosperous retirement. We are pleased that the other member of our long-standing legal team, Pamela Mull, will continue on with Potlatch in her new role as VP and General Counsel, and we welcome Michael Gadd as our new Associate General Counsel," he said. Ralph Davisson joined Potlatch as Associate General Counsel in 1980 following seven years with Georgia-Pacific Corporation and five years as an associate with the Portland, Oregon, firm of Miller, Nash. Pamela Mull joined Potlatch at the San Francisco headquarters in 1990 as Associate General Counsel following five years at Amfac, Inc. as Assistant Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary, and five years as an associate attorney with the firm of Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe. She holds a BA in History from Denison University in Ohio and graduated cum laude with a JD from the University of Michigan Law School. Michael Gadd was formerly an associate attorney in the Portland, Oregon, office of Perkins Coie. His prior experience includes serving as an associate attorney with Ater Wynne, LLP and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby & MacRae. He holds a BA in English from the University of South Carolina, an MBA from the University of Washington and JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
