Agfa Graphics Launches :Delano 2.6 with WebApproval at Ipex

London, UK – 22 February 2006 – Agfa Graphics announced today that it will launch a new and improved version of its :Delano project management system at Ipex in Birmingham (4-11 April 2006). As the :Delano product matures and is being installed in dozens of sites across Europe and the world, it receives rave reviews from users, especially for its softproofing capabilities. :Delano WebApproval 2.6. The news for Ipex includes :Delano WebApproval 2.6, which succeeds the current :ApogeeX WebApproval, and further improves the scope of softproofing by offering a growth path to a full project management suite. With such options as :Delano StreamProof, users can proofread, markup and approve high-resolution production files in a standard web-browser in real-time. :Delano 2.6. Other than softproofing, :Delano 2.6 brings additional features for extended JDF (Job Definition Format) connectivity. Upstream connectivity to various specific JDF/MIS systems from other vendors will be demonstrated live on the Ipex stand in co-operation with Optimus, Technique, Tharstern, EFI, Hiflex and others. Downstream connectivity to prepress production includes :ApogeeX 3.0, also new at Ipex, as well as production software from other vendors. :Delano 2.6 will also offer better support for spot colours, an improved user interface and faster system responsiveness. The new version will handle more pages for more users and offer support for special jobs such as inserts and poster printing.
