BATH, ENGLAND - November 29, 2005 -- SunJet, the inkjet ink division of Sun Chemical, introduced today its Crystal UV curing Ink Integration Guide for Partners. The guide, which is the first of its kind to be offered to the inkjet printing field, offers printing equipment partners the latest information on the use of SunJet UV curing inks in a variety of Piezo Drop-on Demand print heads.
SunJet's recently established ink integration team, headed by Technical Manager, Nigel Caiger, produced this new guide to help SunJet customers cope with the demands of UV curing technology in the inkjet environment.
UV curing technology is a rapidly evolving sector in the printing industry, and many printing equipment manufacturers are keen to adopt the technology which can deliver solutions to diverse markets, from advertising and display graphics to packaging printing.
Peter Saunders, SunJet sales & marketing manager, noted that offering technical guidance is a vital part of SunJet's overall strategy to be the leader in customer service, and added: “As development of digital presses moves at pace, it is important that development partners fast-track their projects to reduce costs and deliver equipment to market in the shortest possible timeframe. Some of our partners believe each model of printer has a life cycle of 2 years or less, so any time saved in development can really impact the sales of new printers.”
The guide provides technical know-how, advice on how to run each of SunJet's inks in various applications and processes, handling information specific to UV inks and advice on jetting parameters. Some of the information will be available to all customers seeking to work with SunJet inks, though more details will be made available selectively as part of established joint development projects.
“All of SunJet's development partners can benefit from advice, support and information from the ink integration team, whose specialist knowledge of ink formulations and jetting techniques have proven to be highly valued by customers from all sectors,” Saunders said. “The Ink Integration Guide brings together information in a format that is easy to follow and work though.”
Caiger added: “We hope customers will use the package to guide them through some of the more tricky areas of UV ink handling, from the very early stages of development through to product launch and installation. The Guidance for Partners is designed to compliment the work of the ink integration team, who have a high level of customer contact and work very much in a hands-on style with our partners.”
SunJet is the market leader in the supply of inkjet inks and its extensive UV curing product range is marketed under the Crystal UV brand. SunJet's Innovation in UV technology is characterized by leading edge products such as the Crystal URW white inks for the graphics industry.
SunJet will be present at the SGIA Digital exhibition Dec. 8-12 in Phoenix, and at FESPA India Dec. 1-4 in Mumbai. Booth staff at both shows will be pleased to discuss the Ink Integration Guide. Please contact Peter Saunders at +44 1761 408511, or via email at
