Videk Earns a Rochester, NY Top 100 Spot

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, NY – On Sunday, November 6, the 2005 ranking of the Rochester, NY Top 100 companies was announced. Videk was honored with a top ten place. Videk’s president & CEO, Tom Slechta, credits the company’s success to many factors, but mainly the support and dedication of Videk’s employees, “Everyone at Videk has a great passion for what they do. What a team! We were delighted when the news came in that Videk was selected for the Rochester Top 100, but to be named number ten was an even greater milestone.” For an organization of 25 employees, Videk’s vision is certainly a large one. The company has been awarded contracts with such industry leaders as The Federal Treasury (FMS), Northrop Grumman, MBNA, Wells Fargo, and most recently KUBRA. This year, Videk also introduced its latest industry innovation, the PostnetVerifierTM, a Postnet barcode quality-monitoring device for thermal ink jet printers, a product that is enhancing Videk’s vision for a bright future. “We’re at a great place right now, but I believe that it will only get better,” Tom Slechta adds. “We will certainly strive to be a Top 100 Company again next year.” The Rochester Top 100 ranks privately held companies based on three years of revenue growth, this year it was 2002-04. A revenue of at least $1 million in each of the three years is required for Top 100 consideration. Both dollar and percentage increases are used in determining the ranking. The Rochester Top 100 is intended to recognize both large and small privately owned companies, which have, and will continue to have, a positive influence on the future of Greater Rochester.
