CINCINNATI, Nov. 2 -- Multi-Color Corporation won an unprecedented 16 awards in the 28th Annual Awards Competition sponsored by the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (TLMI). Labels produced by Multi-Color won eight first place awards, five second place awards, and three honorable mentions. All of Multi-Color's label production facilities produced award winners and its graphic services operations performed the pre-press for many of the winning labels. The TLMI Annual Awards is an international competition honoring the finest labels produced by member converters in North, South and Central America, Europe, and Australia. "We are extremely pleased to be honored with these awards," said Don Kneir, President of Multi-Color's Decorating Solutions Division. "These awards represent a team effort by all of our hard working associates. This recognition supports our Value Proposition of offering a full range of decoration choices and services to our customers." The award winners represent all of Multi-Color's decorating solutions including shrink sleeve, pressure-sensitive, heat transfer, cut & stack, and in-mold labels. The winning labels were printed using several of Multi-Color's printing technologies including rotogravure, offset, and flexography. Several of the winners such as Olay Total Effects Cleansing Cloths and Cocktails by Jenn are innovative new labels developed by Multi-Color to help customers enhance shelf appeal and differentiate their products in the marketplace. Multi-Color's first place winners included the labels for Olay Total Effects Cleansing Cloths, Brutal Fruit Strawberry Malt Beverage, Leinenkugel's Big Butt Dopplebock Beer, Febreze Pet Odor Eliminator, Palmolive Mountain Fresh Dishwasher Detergent, Tide Clean Breeze High Efficiency Laundry Detergent, Cocktails by Jenn, and the Labatt Blue "Cold One" beer can sleeve. Multi-Color also won second place awards for the labels for Vroom Protectant, Miller Lite Pilsner Beer, Sun-Rype Pure Apple Juice, Wrigley's Big Red Chewing Gum 10-Pack, and President's Choice Carrot Juice. It won honorable mentions for the labels for Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Strawberry Banana Juice, Purex Lavender Fresh Laundry Detergent, and AriZona Pomegranate Green Tea.
