Shanghai Jielong is one of the oldest users of KBA presses in China, having started up its first Planeta press lines in 1994. It was also one of the first print enterprises in China to be privatised, and has since gone public. From its origins as a provider of printed products - most of them packaging - to the domestic mar-ket and exporters, it expanded its activities abroad and now main-tains foreign subsidiaries in the USA and elsewhere. Its portfolio has also been expanded to include books and displays. KBA's rising share of the large-format market and the outstanding after-sales service provided by KBA in China were influential in per-suading Shanghai Jielong to order a further Rapida.
