'Got Milk?' Studiopsd Chooses Fujifilm To Help Create Memorable Campaigns
Press release from the issuing company
VALHALLA, N.Y. (Oct. 7, 2005) – Got milk? Whether it's whole, skim or chocolate, New York's Studiopsd helps ensure that America's most famous mustache comes out just right. An award-winning, full-service, pre-media studio known for its creative reputation and client service, Studiopsd relies on proofing from Fujifilm to put those milk mustaches on the likes of martial artist Jackie Chan, tennis pro Andy Roddick, football great Terrell Davis and even superhero Batman.
Studiopsd works with New York City-based Lowe Worldwide, the ad agency that handles creative work for the milk campaign, completing the retouching work and readying the files for print.
A complete Fujifilm shop, Studiopsd utilizes both the FinalProof and the FinalProof GxT as well as the PictroProof digital contone proofer in the company's retouching department.
“We selected Fujifilm equipment because of its reputation and quality,” explains Kevin Brucato, Studiopsd's director. “It's consistent, it's reliable and it just never goes down.”
Working with experts from Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc., Studiopsd chose the Fujifilm equipment and installed it nearly two years ago. Earlier this year, Brucato and his staff upgraded one of their FinalProof digital contract proofers to include extended gamut capabilities (GxT). Fujifilm's FinalProof GxT expands the color gamut by imaging dot percentages of CMYK and spot color donors (including green, orange, red, blue, opaque white and metallic) for accurate spot color matching – and that's crucial for the work that Brucato and his team complete.
In addition to the “Got Milk?” campaign, Studiopsd also works with consumer giant Johnson & Johnson and their various advertising campaign. “We do a lot of creative retouching for their campaigns,” says Brucato, “and our color has to be dead on for that type of work.” In order to streamline their work, Studiopsd relies on the color consistency of the Fujifilm proofing devices, calibrating the PictroProof to both FinalProof devices. Studiopsd uses the two-page PictroProof for in-house proofing, while offering FinalProof proofs to clients for approval and sign-off. Because both are easily calibrated and maintained, Brucato and his team can count on getting consistent color, proof after proof.
“We're extremely pleased with our Fujifilm proofing devices and with the advice and service we've received from Enovation,” adds Brucato. “We've created a unique pre-media studio and, thanks to our being on the cutting edge of new technologies, we're able to offer our customers a full range of integrated services and start-to-finish solutions.”
