Enfocus PitStop Automate Unveiled at Print 05

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO (PRINT 05) – September 9, 2005 – In its ongoing effort to make graphic arts workflows as reliable and productive as possible, Enfocus Software previews new Enfocus PitStop Automate here at its Print 05 booth #6760, from September 9 – 15. Built on the powerful Enfocus PitStop Library platform, PitStop Automate extends Enfocus' renowned quality control formula to introduce extensive automation functionality in the production process. Executive Vice-President, Sales & Marketing for Enfocus Software, Patrick Van Dam, says that Enfocus PitStop Automate gives Enfocus and its OEM partners the ability to offer customers an unprecedented level of automation and quality assurance in their production environments. Enfocus-Proven Quality Assurance & Automation Enfocus has developed significant automation-enabling technologies -- PDF preflight, PDF editing, Action Lists, and Certified PDF -- all built to streamline graphic arts creation processes while maintaining absolute quality control. Enfocus PitStop Automate extends the power of these technologies to bring an advanced level of automation in the reach of every company, big and small. “With Enfocus Instant PDF we have successfully established a solution for reliable Certified PDF creation, making it easier for individual document creators to deliver error-free PDF files,” Van Dam says. “Enfocus PitStop Automate serves both those companies wanting to streamline the creation and delivery of larger volumes of Certified PDF files, as well as those on the receiving end; looking to maximize the efficiency advantages of all Enfocus' technologies, but needing them combined with more powerful automation capabilities than we could previously offer.” Enfocus' Hallmark Prepress Features Plus New Output/Production Workflow Functionality Enfocus PitStop Automate, built on Enfocus' PitStop Library, offers the valuable features – including award-winning Certified PDF technology – found in the company's other products. Beyond PDF preflight and editing, Enfocus PitStop Automate permits file sorting and conditional workflows based on file type, size and other file or document properties. It enables splitting multiple page PDFs into many single page PDFs, and electronic file delivery can be achieved through FTP and E-mail. These production-oriented features were made possible by a combination of Enfocus and parent company Artwork Systems' Odystar workflow technology.
