CC1's eXaminer is the most advanced and effective automatic register control for four-color newsprint available today. The newspaper installed its eXaminer system three years ago on the first unit of its Goss Flexoliner eight unit newspaper press. “Our goal was to improve quality and reduce start-up waste,” says Richard Maxwell, pressroom manager of The Modesto Bee. “Since the installation of the eXaminer system, our quality is definitely superior and our advertisers are much happier with the quality of their ads.
