Press release from the issuing company

Carlstadt, NJ, August 31, 2005 – Pictorial Offset Corporation of Carlstadt, New Jersey has been honored with six (6) 2005 Premier Print Awards presented by the PIA/GATF Graphic Arts Information Network, for outstanding achievement in six (6) categories: Product Catalogs (4 or more colors), Business and Annual Reports (4 or more colors throughout), Point of Purchase Materials, Booklets –greater than 6” x 9” (1, 2 or 3 colors), Invitations, and Environmentally Sound Materials. Pictorial Offset won Certificates of Merit Awards for their entries into all six of the respective categories with printed pieces it had produced for leading Fortune 500 companies in the vertical markets of Not-for-profits, luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, finance and fashion. Competing against more than 5,200 entries from printing and graphic arts firms around the world, the judges bestowed on Pictorial Offset Corporation the six awards, which honor technical excellence in each category for the competition. “It is an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality, award winning materials,” said Donald Samuels, Managing Partner of Pictorial Offset Corporation. “ We are especially proud to receive this acknowledgement in the Environmentally Sound Materials category as we were the first commercial print in the world to earn simultaneous quality and environmental compliance accreditations of the International Standards Organization (ISO 9002: 1994 and ISO 14001: 1996, respectively.) In 2005, Pictorial Offset Corporation was granted Forest Stewardship Council's Chain-of-Custody Certification through the Rainforest Alliance’s SmartWood subsidiary and was also re-certified for ISO Management System Standards in both quality and environmental processes. We are committed to ‘doing the right thing’ for our customers, our industry, our community and our planet.” Michael Makin, president and CEO of PIA/GATF, notes, “each year, the field of entries brings impressive work from some of the best printers in the world. Only a small number of companies receive any award. The craftsmanship and hard work of Pictorial Offset Corporation enabled them to produce award-winning pieces in the face of some very stiff competition.” The Premier Print Award is the printing industry’s oldest and largest worldwide graphic arts competition. In its 56th year, the competition recognizes those responsible for the creation and production of print communications. The event promotes excellence in print and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.
