STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 24 -- MeadWestvaco Corporation today announced Donna Owens Cox has been elected to the position of vice president, Communications. In this position, Ms. Cox has responsibility for all aspects of the company's communications, including public relations and internal communications. Ms. Cox joined MeadWestvaco in 1996 as the communications coordinator for the Forestry Division and has since has held positions of increasing responsibility in internal and external communications, including manager of integration and internal communications for MeadWestvaco. Most recently, Ms. Cox served as director of public relations in the corporate office. Ms. Cox holds B.S. degrees in marketing and management from the University of South Carolina, and an M.B.A. from The Citadel.
