WOODRIDGE, IL (August 18, 2005) – Tensor Group, Inc. announces installation of a T-400BE 4-high at the Dover Post Co., located in Dover, Delaware. Dover Post purchased the tower to expand color capabilities on an existing Heidelberg Mercury Press installation. This marks the third time that Tensor Group has added a T-400BE onto an existing Mercury press. The challenge for Tensor engineers was to determine the exact cutoff and plate lockup requirements needed to synchronize with the existing press and the in-house plate bending equipment. The result was a perfect match in size, providing enhanced page 1 color quality, ease of operation and reduced waste. The install was accomplished quickly and efficiently, with little interruption of print run. Curt Garrison, pressroom manager of the Dover Post Co. reports, “We made the right decision. The Tensor machine is very well built and we now produce a level of quality our customers require. We've competed in the past with Tensor presses and we were aware of their print quality capability. The bearer design on the Tensor offered a good fit for tying into the Heidelberg. We also benefit from the easy access to the interior of the units for maintenance, and Tensor's parts and service support is excellent.” The Dover Post Co., operating since 1975, prints a large number of weekly newspapers for distribution in the Delaware region. In addition, the facility produces a wide variety of weekly and monthly papers and periodicals, with three shifts operating five days a week.
