An extensive set of built-in production tools provide capabilities to soft-proof jobs from any licensed workstation prior to proof, film or plate output, to save valuable time and reduce or eliminate material waste. FirstPROOF 3.0 adds many powerful new tools and features to previous versions. Managers can now have the ability to create site and user accounts (to control what can be viewed, output, deleted, etc…), control the ability to Approve or Reject jobs (as well as outputting or deleting), and will benefit from substantially improved viewing and down-sampling speeds. Other additions include a Full Screen mode, a Hold Manager for the Harlequin RIP (which allows for selective Hold Mode on Page Setups), a View Selection tool (for easy viewing of pages in a flat) and much more. FirstPROOF Professional now provides the ability to ‘Print’ what is being viewed, to any printer accessible by the computer. As well as printing separations, progressives and composites, all the enabled tools are printed too, so one can produce a print showing areas that have max ink limit issues for example. A hard-copy content proof can be signed off and provided to the pressman for printing the job.
