Padgett Printing plays Santa on July 25

Press release from the issuing company

DALLAS–(August 3, 2005) -- Padgett Printing played Santa on July 25 at the annual Christmas in July event held at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC). This is the sixth year for the event, and Padgett has become an integral part of the tradition, sponsoring Santa and his bag of toys for the children. Padgett President and CEO, David Torok, treated Santa to a ride to the event in Torok’s Christmas-red Dodge Viper. Santa waved at everyone on the ride to the hospital bringing smiles to surprised Dallasites on the hot summer day. Christmas in July was a fun holiday celebration for patients and their families – five months early. Activities included tree decorating, ornament-making and ceramic tile painting. Kids also enjoyed holiday cookies, punch and Christmas music. TSRHC patients had the opportunity to submit artwork for the hospital’s annual holiday card contest. Three designs will be chosen for the 2005 holiday cards. Padgett, a long-term friend and generous contributor to TSRHC, has donated the printing of the hospital’s cards for several years and will print the 2005 series. TSRHC is one of the nation’s leading pediatric centers for the treatment of orthopedic conditions, certain related neurological disorders and learning disabilities, like dyslexia. There is no charge for treatment at the hospital, and admission is open to Texas children from birth to 18 years of age.
