Fairfield, CT – August 1, 2005 -- JJ Bender LLC announced today that Hollis Bufferd has been promoted to Chief of Staff. In her new position, she will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the firm. Based in the worldwide headquarters in Fairfield, CT, Ms. Bufferd will report directly to Jeffrey J. Bender, President and founder of JJ Bender. Ms. Bufferd joined JJ Bender as the Director of People, Places, and Ideas in February 2005. In this capacity, she helped open a New York office and developed corporate policies. Prior to joining JJ Bender, Ms. Bufferd spent seven years as a manager of operations at a service firm, supervising a staff of over 100 employees. "We are very pleased that Hollis is bringing her considerable management experience and inventiveness to our staff," said Mr. Bender. "Her track record is exceptional, and her understanding of the management and operations has helped us grow our business dramatically.” Ms. Bufferd recently helped revise JJ Bender's rental program. She spearheaded a multi-million dollar project where JJ Bender purchased more than 50 Xerox DocuColor 2045 and 2060 systems. The machines were then rented to current clients of JJ Bender, saving those customers several hundred thousand dollars. She also designed a new administrative system for JJ Bender's equipment rentals including Xerox DocuTech 6180 and 135 production printers. Ms. Bufferd holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in small business consulting.
