State Department Seeks Bid and Provider for ALL Copying, Printing, and Publications Services

July 27, 2005 -- WASHINGTON, DC: The U.S. Department of State is seeking a service provider for its worldwide copying printing, publication services. These services, currently provided by in-house government personnel, are integral in advancing the Department’s public diplomacy mission. The Department is running a public versus private competition under OMB Circular A-76 http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/circulars/index.html Competitive Sourcing procedures. The competition is expected to create a more responsive and cost effective infrastructure for creating, manufacturing and delivering publications to better meet the diverse information needs, both internal and external, of the Department’s domestic bureaus and overseas missions. All interested parties and potential bidders are encouraged to attend a bidder’s conference on August 4, 2005 at the Holiday Inn Key Bridge in Rosslyn (Arlington), Virginia from 9AM to 3PM. The conference will provide an opportunity for interested parties to hear about program requirements, ask questions about the solicitation, provide suggestions on the acquisition, network, and explore teaming/joint venture possibilities.
