New York, NY; June 6, 2005 – Integrated Color Solutions (ICS) — the technology leader in monitor proofing — has been granted a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its development of the technology used in Remote Director, the company’s industry-leading, remote proofing system. ICS received U.S. patent number 6,707,931 for its press proofing system that allows multiple Users in remote locations to view and collaborate on press proofs without having to leave their offices. ICS’s system allows Users to view color correct press proofs, make changes, correct colors, change content and provide final approval for printing - all from the convenience of the User’s office. Each User is shown an electronic image that is color corrected to display the image as it would appear when printed thereby providing for a digital proof of the printing press without the need to actually print the proof sheet. ICS’ technology eliminates the need for multiple physical proofs, records each iteration of changes, and allows video and audio conference between the printer and the User.
