MENASHA, Wis., June 1 -- Banta Corporation announced today the promotion of Padraic Allen to President of the Banta Supply-Chain Management Group. Allen has been with Banta the past two years, first as a consultant and most recently as Director, Strategic Planning for Banta Supply-Chain Management, based in Cork, Ireland.
"Padraic's broad range of experience and leadership skills will be extremely valuable as he works with our Supply-Chain Management team to enhance and expand relationships with our current customers, aggressively pursue new customers in targeted market segments, and drive our strategic initiatives within the group and corporation," said Stephanie Streeter, Banta Corporation Chairman, President and CEO.
Prior to joining Banta, Allen worked for The Leading Edge Group, a supply-chain management consultancy, where he managed projects in business strategy development, business process improvement, benchmarking, operational improvement and organizational development for companies in the electronics, pharmaceutical, medical device, food and logistics industries.
Allen also has great depth of experience in operations management. He worked for Dell Computer for two years as Vice President for European Operations, and for 17 years prior to that he was with Apple Computer, which included 10 years as Managing Director of Apple's Operations Headquarters for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
The Banta Supply-Chain Management Group capitalizes on the growing trend of businesses to outsource non-core functions. Operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia procure materials, assemble components, test products, assemble customized kits, control inventories and distribute product globally for many of the world's largest companies.
