Munich, Germany – FESPA – 31 May 2005 – Agfa and Mutoh Europe announced today that they have signed an agreement for the marketing and distribution in Europe of their co-developed wide-format printers using high-end industrial inkjet technology. At the show today, the two companies launched a 100-inch wide UV printer under the name Cobra 100uv for Mutoh and :Anapurna 100 for Agfa. Agfa will manufacture the UV-curable inks and supply its new-generation UPH inkjet heads from its headquarters in Mortsel, Belgium. Mutoh Europe will manufacture all equipment at its facilities in Ostend, Belgium. Strong Partnership. Mutoh Europe and Agfa extended their partnership to enter the high-end industrial wide-format market jointly with a long-term market commitment. The original co-development agreement was signed on 23 April 2004. Under the new agreement signed today, all promotion, marketing, distribution, sales, service and support will constitute a joint undertaking by Agfa, Mutoh Europe and their respective affiliated companies and distributors.
