VUTEk Introduces 3.2-Meter Rigid and Roll-to-Roll UV-Curing Printer
Press release from the issuing company
May 31, 2005 -- VUTEk is pleased to introduce its all-new PressVu UV 320/400 UV-curing, 3.2-meter flatbed rigid and roll-to-roll printer. The PressVu UV 320/400 is the ideal addition for digital image providers who want to increase their productivity and expand their capabilities with a printer that costs far less than competitive printers.
The PressVu UV 320/400 was designed to help digital print providers increase their productivity as well as their profitability with the most versatile printer available. Since it accommodates rigid substrates up to 3.2 meters (126 inches) wide, the PressVu UV 320/400 drives productivity through the roof with up to 14 - 2 meter x 3 meter (20 - 4’ x 8’) sheets per hour. It also features roll-to-roll capability, giving customers true flexibility to offer a full range of services. Applications range from billboard to high quality P-O-P and everything in between.
The PressVu UV 320/400 is available as a four-color model, and prints high-quality, 400 dpi resolution images on rigid substrates up to 4.45 cm (1.75 inches) thick. Ruggedly built for reliable, around-the-clock productivity, the PressVu UV 320/400 prints on a wide range of sheet fed and roll-to-roll substrates at up to 93 square meters (1000 square feet) per hour. Set up is quick and easy and can be done with one person in less than one minute, allowing customers to focus their time on producing, not preparing.
The two-printer-in-one capability of the PressVu UV 320/400 allows customers to print on both rigid and flexible materials, so customers can offer a more comprehensive range of applications, increasing their value to customers while driving up profitability. The switch between flatbed and roll-to-roll can be completed in less than a minute, barely affecting the printers overall productivity.
The PressVu UV 320/400 joins the PressVu UV family, which includes four-color, six-color and eight-color models, and the newly introduced white print capability.
Beta testing for the PressVu UV 320/400 will begin in June, and it will be available for shipping mid summer 2005.
