DALLAS–(May 2005)–- Padgett Printing President/CEO A. David Torok announced the Dallas Society of Visual Communications awarded Padgett a Gold Award at the 2005 47th Annual Dallas Show for the 2004 Oxygen lighting catalog. The DSVC gala awards dinner was held at The Women’s Museum in Dallas’ Fair Park on Saturday, April 9, 2005. The 208-page, tabbed and bound catalog features Swiss ballet dancers photographed with the Oxygen product line. Fort Worth based Oxygen is a Quorum International company. Quorum International and its family of companies specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of ceiling fans, lighting fixtures and accessories. All design was done in house at Quorum International. The text pages were printed 4-color process, plus 4 Hexacrome inks printed as touch plates over the process inks. Padgett partnered with Saapi Paper Company and Olmsted Kirk on the 80# HannoArt Gloss Cover. The heavy plastic tab pages were silk-screened. The binder is covered in pink textured faux snakeskin. The catalog is for use by architects and interior designers. It is a sales tool, no product is ordered in advance, all product is ordered for a specific customer application. “This book is the second we have done for Oxygen,” said Padgett Vice President/Sales Manager Charles M. Chebuhar, “The first one in 2003 won both a Saapi and Benny award for excellence. We have enjoyed a long-term relationship with multiple divisions of Quorum International.” Chebuhar added, “We enjoy the fact that they are willing to push the envelope, and ultimately make us a better printer along the way.”
