Uygun Basim orders Goss Community for additional contract work

May 26th, 2005 - Uygun Basim ve Tic. Ltd. Sti, newspaper and general printers, has ordered a latest generation Goss Community press for its printing plant based in Istanbul, Turkey. The new press will provide the company with a durable high quality state-of-the-art production capability, and will in turn enable it to accept additional contract work from new and existing clients.
Mr. Sahabettin UYGUN, Owner of Uygun Basim, explains, “The Goss Community press has been purchased to keep up with our increasing printing requirements and is part of our vision for the future. Our company has been gaining more orders for contract customers. We believe this trend is going to continue and we needed a reliable press that could produce high quality color copies first time, every time.”
The new Goss Community press includes two four-high towers with two reelstands and one SSC folder with quarter fold. It will feature high specification motorized ink keys and will print at speeds up to 35,000 cph. This is the second Goss Community press to be installed in Uygun Basim, the first of which was installed in 1998. It also follows a recent similar Community installation in Ankara at Aydan Yayincilik San. Ve Tic Ltd. STI (AYS).
Mr. Uygun, continues, “The Goss brand is well established in Turkey and known for its high quality and reliable products coupled with knowledgeable technical support.”
Uygun Basim was established in 1987 and is a privately owned company. It has two printing locations both in Istanbul. The company produces various kinds of printed material including books, newspapers and inserts.

The Goss Community press is extremely popular across the globe with approaching 40,000 units and many folders sold worldwide, and will provide the necessary flexibility and increased production capability they require well into the future.”
The new Goss Community press is due to be installed later this year and will be in full production by the end of the year.
