April 23, 2008 --  Eighteen of our most outstanding supplier partners were honored during Quad/Graphics' annual Supplier of the Year Awards dinner on April 3.

Now in their fifth year, the Supplier of the Year awards recognize those suppliers who contribute key value-added services to both Quad/Graphics and QuadTech, and go above and beyond to help us succeed.

"It's nice to be able to formally recognize you and let you know how appreciative we are of the work that you do," Art Noe, Director of Corporate Purchasing for Quad/Graphics, told our winning vendors gathered at our Sussex, Wis., headquarters for the awards presentation.

Our Supplier of the Year program is an important tool for giving suppliers the knowledge they need to help us achieve ongoing cost reductions and productivity improvements.

This year, we presented a Gold, Silver and Bronze award in the following six categories: Manufacturing Parts and Repair; Services; Outsourced Services; Maintenance, Repair, Operations; Consumables; and Capital Equipment.

Determining the award recipients is a process that takes several months to complete and includes an extensive supplier self-assessment, an objective survey and the subjective experience of end users at Quad. In choosing the finalists, representatives from across the company consider how closely each supplier reflects Quad's values, such as quality improvement, performance and environmental stewardship.
