New Association for Print Buyers to Debut at Print Oasis 2005
Press release from the issuing company
ARLINGTON, Va. (May 17, 2005) — Print Communications Professionals International (PCPI) is a new association dedicated specifically to print buyers and will make its official debut at the upcoming Print Oasis 2005 Print Buyers Conference & Exhibit in Chicago.
Designed to meet the unique needs of print buyers around the country, PCPI offers more robust services and resources than any other organization and fosters camaraderie among print buyers and their peers.
PCPI was created by Print Buyers Online.com, the free educational e-community for print buyers, in response to member requests for additional services. “Print Communications Professionals International is a unique and valuable opportunity for this industry,” says Suzanne Morgan, founder of both Print Buyers Online.com and PCPI. “This organization offers print buyers the information, resources and support that they are craving. Our goal is to help print buyers provide greater value to their organizations and be better recognized for their contributions.”
In the spirit of what the association will offer its members, PCPI will sponsor three peer-to-peer information sharing sessions during Print Oasis 2005 Conference & Exhibit. These sessions allow attendees to talk directly to their peers about the topics that are important to them. With no speakers at these sessions, attendees will be able to ask other seasoned pros for advice and to share their own experiences and best practices.
The following sessions are open to all attendees at Print Oasis 2005 Conference & Exhibit and don’t require any pre-registration:
• Find Peers by Organization Type
Sunday, May 22 – 3:00-4:00 p.m.
• Technologies that Impact Buying Organizations
Monday, May 23 – 4:00-5:00 p.m.
• Business Issues
Tuesday, May 24 – 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Representatives from PCPI are available during Print Oasis 2005 at Booth #317 to answer questions and explain the benefits of PCPI membership. PCPI will also offer attendees a free copy of the association’s report on proofing, “Getting Color Right: What you need to know about color management and proofing to get the print job you expect.”
Introductory dues for PCPI are $279 and members that sign up during the conference will get a complimentary camel “mascot” and a Starbucks gift card.
Print Oasis 2005 Print Buyers Conference & Exhibit is the only independent conference focused on the needs and challenges of print buyers, specifiers and production professionals.
