Industry Executives Address Binding, Finishing and Distribution Conference

White Stone, VA, May 2005— On April 5 and 6, the Research and Engineering Council of NAPL held its 47th annual Binding, Finishing and Distribution conference in Chicago. At the meeting, postpress personnel from the US and Canada gathered to learn the latest in management and operational techniques. The conference, co-chaired by Dr. Twyla J. Cummings, assistant professor and graduate program chair at the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Print Media, and Roger Bilodeau, Vice President of Sales for Muller Martini Corporation, featured a number of industry CEOs who shared detailed of their
successes with the audience.
Keynote speeches were offered by industry guru Frank Romano, as well as CEOs Werner Naegeli of Muller Martini and James Dunn of Heidelberg USA, and Goss International Vice President for Print Finishing Toby Clarke. Printer executives addressing the conference included Robert J. Windler, President of Diecrafters; Harry Popiel, Vice President of Human Resources at Brown Printing Company; Jennifer Klarman, General Manager of Linemark Printing; Chris Pape, President of Monroe Litho; Jack Rickard, President of Rickard Circular Folding; Philip Kemppainen, Vice President of Operations at Banta Book Group, and William Woods, President and CEO of EPI Companies.
Commenting on the success of the seminar, R&E Council managing director Ronald L. Mihills said: “No other meeting in the industry focuses solely on the latest in technology and processes for bindery and distribution.
