Xitron Enters Technology Agreement With Lucid Dream

Ann Arbor, Michigan – April 24, 2008 – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions, today announced it has entered an agreement with Lucid Dream Software of Hoffman Estates, IL. Under the agreement Lucid Dream technology will be incorporated into Xitron's ExpressConnect family of online submission and proofing solutions.
Express Connect provides small and medium commercial printers with:
- Web-based job submission and online proofing
- 24/7 automated prepress capabilities
- Reduced operator intervention
- Capabilities previously afforded only by larger shops
ExpressConnect, offers small to medium size commercial printers a complete web-based job submission and online proofing solution that can be incorporated with most workflows. A printer's customers will be able to submit their PDFs or PostScript files via ExpressConnect anytime day or night. Once submitted, PDF files are automatically preflighted. If PostScript files are submitted, the integrated PDF Creator option generates a normalized PDF and then preflights the PDF file. ExpressConnect prices will begin at under $10,000 for a complete solution.
